Guide to Wellness
Our New Jersey Team

Jessica Lee, CRNP, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Remission. Recovery. Renewal. How many times have you worked to digest other’s definitions of those concepts? Trying, exhaustingly, to adapt and amend yourself into that predefined role?
I am interested in your definition and what those words look like in your world. My philosophy is a commitment to a distinctively personal approach to your health and wellness. My approach is based in warmth, genuineness, honesty and humor. I believe the integration of psychopharmacology through interdisciplinary methods is required to transcend the roadblocks associated in recovery and remission. This is how we will discover your pathways toward renewal.
My clinical experience is in substance related challenges and psychopharmacology for psychiatric disorders. I have worked with many individuals through issues related to anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, obsessive and compulsive disorders, pregnancy, postpartum, menopausal transition, gender and multiethnic affirming care. I believe medication assisted treatment has space in the definition of recovery.

In a world where everything is a trend, I take pride in practicing individualized patient centered care. I like to understand your goals and work as a team to reach those goals. We will work together to optimize your health and wellness. I am passionate about people being true to themselves and exploring exactly what that means to them. I believe in life, we all can overcome adversity and build resiliency in our mental health.
You are more than your diagnoses. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my goal is to be one part of a multi-disciplinary team. I will provide insight into the use of medications and how they can aid you in reaching your life goals. I also provide supportive psychotherapy with medication to ensure you are being heard and your goals are being met. Your journey will be met with honesty, warmth, multidisciplinary collaboration, supportive therapy, and health education.
Most of my experience has been with substance use and co-occurring disorders. My specialties include major depression, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, OCD, psychotic disorders, and PTSD.
I am often humbled by the strength of the human spirit and the capacity of personal growth through healing.

Care and attention to one’s mental health is as important as their physical health. Many strive to achieve mental wellness to better their quality of life but are missing the essential tools needed to guide them to wellness they desire.
My mission is to help individuals who are struggling to achieve their goals in searching for a meaningful, holistic life. Through the use of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, I believe it is possible to achieve overall wellness. It is essential in my practice to provide a safe space where one can feel open to sharing their true, holistic self without fear of judgment or being misunderstood. Good listening and authenticity throughout our journey together are the keys to success in achieving the goals set to be your best self!
My background and area of clinical experience in psychiatry includes caring for individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, OCD, and perceptual disturbances. I believe in the use of psychopharmacology, as well as psychotherapy to provide optimal, holistic care to attain the best outcomes. Together, I believe it is possible to attain mental health wellness by building a relationship based on trust, care, and compassion.

Michael Urban, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. I graduated from Widener University where I earned a master’s in Social Work. While at Widener, I completed a certificate in the treatment of trauma. I began my career at Ambrosia Treatment Center, a substance abuse disorder facility. Over the past five years I have worked in all levels of care within the substance use field. I created a program to treat substance use and eating disorders concurrently. After this program I began building a private practice where I work primarily with individuals who have co-occurring eating disorders and substance use. Most recently I created and ran a program for Veterans and First Responders. I am currently employed with Banyan Treatment center where I have helped implement a veterans program in eight of their facilities.
I use a collaborative approach in treatment. I like to meet clients where they are in their lives and work collaboratively with the individual to create an individualized treatment experience. My approach draws heavily from ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), CBT and exposure therapy. I work to create a trusting, non-judgmental relationship with the individual. I see myself as someone who presents opportunities to the individual and allow them to be the decision maker. I feel my role is to help the individual see the whole picture in their choices.
