Hi! My name is Hannah Fels, a licensed social worker in Pennsylvania and Delaware with three years of clinical experience dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate their mental health journeys. I have my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from West Chester University and my Master of Social Work with a Mental Health Certificate from University of Pittsburgh. I have provided clinical services in the medical, criminal justice, group, and nonprofit settings. I have a special interest and passion for trauma, grief, LGBTQ+ issues, adoption/unique family structures, and women’s issues but thoroughly enjoy working with clients of all walks of life. I have supported individuals and families experiencing a variety of challenges such as trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, life transitions, anger management, and family/relationship conflict.
As this is my second career, my life experience allows me to approach therapy with empathy, flexibility, and a deep respect for each client’s personal circumstances. I utilize an eclectic, strengths-based, and client-centered approach, drawing from various modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic, family systems, mindfulness, play, and motivational interviewing to meet each person’s unique needs. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and my role as a therapist is to provide support, insight, and tools to help them navigate challenges, uncover strengths, and move toward meaningful growth. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where my clients can feel comfortable and authentic to themselves.
I was born and raised in Northern California but have called Pennsylvania home for the past 7 years. Outside of work you can find me spending time in nature, reading novels, singing in a choir, creating pottery, and spending quality time with loved ones (including my two beloved furbabies).
I greatly look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you as you navigate your therapy journey.
